So I want to share a small story here, I have a small youtube series, Iowa Trapper, in one of my episodes I took time off my road line to take some boys out on some private ground and set some coon and muskrat traps. In many episodes I mention funke trap tags as my main supplier. A non trapping gentlemen was in the hospital recovering from surgery, found my channel, liked how I got kids involved, so he reached out to Allen at funkes and bought 100 dps for me to give out to kids. Allen reached out to me about this, and he came up with the idea of me and him doing a demo for the kids cave. Anything over the 100 traps Allen would donate himself!
It was crazy how it came about, it was a great time. I was told 54 kids redeemed the cards that were handed out in my demo(which was amateur at best). Each one of these kids got a jar of bait, setting tool, and 4 duke dps! Allen at funkes is truly a generous person!
We've already been asked, and will be doing it once again in lima Ohio for the 2022 nationals, where hopefully we can get more kids involved into our sport! I'm so glad the nta came up with this program! These kids are our future. Hopefully there will be alot more kids running around with those yellow bags that I've heard described in other posts!

Very nice, great story, thanks for posting.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I didn't get a chance to see your demo at the Kid's Cave, but I did hear several people talking about it. From the sounds of things, they all thought you did a terrific job, I have no doubt they were correct. Keep up the good work Justin, you are setting a good example for all trappers and not just the youth.
Allen Sayre at Funke's / Hilltop is a great guy and supports the ITA, our trapping industry and way of life 100%. Glad to have people like Justin and Allen on our side, thanks to both!

Good on you for this and good on Allen. I have bought most all my supplies and tags from Funke Trap tag for decades. Wayne Funke was a great man and Allen has done a great job to keep the business top notch. LLL
