I always tried to leave the group intact. . If you kill grandma , the whole pattern of the group will change. As far as habits. An old doe becomes as smart as any big buck, maybe more so. Quite often a big buck will travel with them. I have harvested quite a few bucks , for my freezer, By letting grandma live. We don't have big deer populations, due to our winter, die offs, Like some areas , further south. So many will have to cull the herd , a bit. Nice group you have there. old243
