By the CDC.

Huh?
The CDC is mandating these things now on our land?

Per the news yesterday. Good news for the 11 million behind in rent payments.
"The White House previously had said it couldn’t extend the eviction ban again after the Supreme Court ruled in June that the policy could only be renewed through legislation."

Musical chairs in WDC I guess cause when I went to school the CDC wasn't the legislation.
You know. The folks voted into office in a democratic republic.

Must not be "For Hire" signs in WDC. We have them everywhere should anyone seek employment to pay their rent.

Well, at least these leeches have someplace to stay when the CDC mandates lock downs again.

That's what I expect the CDC to do in short order.

Rancher pal of mine owns a bunch of apartments and says 15% of his tenants haven't paid a nickel in over a year and he was counting on being able to oust these folks soon if no $$$$ received.
I am not going to call him this week and ask "hey, how's it going?"
He will not be in a good mood.
Seems his bankers always want their money whether folks pay Gary or not.

This is scary ground with a health organization within our land gaining more power.
I hope it does not stand.

This crisis has to last at least until midterm elections.

Looks like they are trying to have the govt be the only entity renting housing. It won't take long.

Jobs are readily avaliable everywhere. Get one or two and pay your (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) rent!
It literally is that easy.

I suspect the SC will rule against this agency's power reach also.
If not, it's a brand new ballgame in America.
With Covid on the lips of 100% of the people, allowing a health agency legislative powers it doesn't have per the US Constitution is interesting.
Who initiated the CDC coming out as the "governing" body anyway?
The WH?

Must be tremendous pressure on the FDA to approve these Covid injections.
I mean top scale, full tilt, hammer down, fist pounding WH pressure.
If I was an FDA committee member, I think I'd have security hired and on hand 24/7.
And a food tester, like the Emperor used to have.

You can tell the free loaders around here......new sleds, boats, motorcycles and the owner is holding the bag for maintenance, taxes and utilities.

My buddy Gary is RED HOT about the damage to his apartments too.
Seems it's on the rise this past year.
And these are not in "down and out" Ville.
His apartments are upscale units.
Seems people of all flavors will take shortcuts given the chance.
Go figure.

The left has always used “Public Saftey” as there number one go to for controlling folks. After all these months I still don’t understand how the CDC has the power to make a proclamation like this. Trump could just think about something and the left had a hand picked judge that would block it. We need to get in the game!

In the words of Recently retired senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement official Thomas Feeley “we’re screwed “

A federal judge ruled previously that the CDC does not have the authority to stop evictions but stayed the order allowing time for higher court reviews. The stay was left in place by the federal appeals court and challenged in the Supreme Court. The SCOTUS ruled to leave the stay in place solely on the basis that expiration of the ban was imminent, agreeing in the written ruling with the plaintiff that the ban was unlawful for CDC to impose. Extension of the ban by the CDC is clearly contrary to court rulings but it will have to play out in the courts again and by that time it will be expired.

The government should reimburse landlord losses, imho.

I decided years ago I was never going to invest in rental property. Smartest investment decision I ever made.

A lot of money is set aside already but not being the paid out to the land owners in many areas why are they not finding a way to make it work? This is how politicians get rich in times like this.
