Coonman220 Back in 1965. I only made him eat the poop because he didnt want to eat the tent caterpillars.

Lady, you're being a bit neurotic here. You have zero worries. I was catching dozens of coons a day, walking through coon crap daily, eating sandwiches with unwashed hands that had been handling coons all day, skinning coons while simultaneously smoking cigarettes, etc.
I don't even know if your post is real. You're probably Savell or someone trying to get a rise out of people. If you're serious, knock it off. Your kid is 100x more likely to chase a ball into the road and get ran over than he is to die of coon crap.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

The Raccoon round worm (Baylis Ascaris) is very dangerous. It likes to use horizontal surfaces such as wood piles or rain gutters as a toilet. Google the CDC claiming it is one of the most important emerging threats to people.
Yeah, the Commie Disease Confederation is who'd id trust. Living life gives you immunities. Bubble life dont.

I've helped a lot of farmers clean out old barns and sheds that had so much coon crap we used scoop shovels to remove it , then used compressed air to blow out the fine stuff which really stirred it up in the air we were breathing. None of us ever got worms from it , so I'd say you'll be fine. Also , worked in a fur house skinning coons and ate sandwiches all the time without washing hands never got anything from that either. I'll say it . . . you're either a liar or a DAM FOOL! 100 percent fact , cleaned out old barns with coon toilets so large you could fill a small pick up.

You came across poop your not sure what from. You walked in the area. You think it may have been coon and worm eggs may have got on your shoe and stayed getting tracked into your home. Your concern is your son may get in contact with them.
You have worked yourself up over a non issues. People here trap, kill, transport, skin and flesh thousand of coons each year. Not in special locations but in their garage and yards some even in the house (I have done this) Often with their kids and grand kids in the fur shed helping. Major direct contact day after day. You have more to worry about from lightning.
You are going to have a very stressed out life raising you kid and a kid with no self confidence if you try to protect him from every possable danger. My kids run their own trap line yes shoot and Handel them themselves. Have since they were 7. Ride 4 wheelers, help skin and butchering game and live stock. My daughter packed around the dead ones waiting to be skinned when she was 3 years old. Your son is safe. First kid?

I'd be more afraid of the coon poop that I DIDN'T know I stepped in! Animals poop everywhere, all the time. Have for millions of years. The playground equipment is full of germs/bacteria. Live your life and quit worrying.
When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

I have no idea if roundworm is prevalent in MS, because even if it is, it's less deadly than lightening, big macs, or errant soccer balls rolling into the street.
As to when I was doing it, I skinned my last coon last winter, and tread on coon chit last week when my coonhound treed a coon in a den tree.
I actually suspected you WERE real but hoped I was wrong. The help you need isn't on a trapping forum.
P.S. I'm a woman too.

Strength comes from experience. Survival comes from the same. Immunity comes from contact. Wash hands, take shoes off at door, live life. Youre more apt to catch something from mice, rats, or roaches. Coon (and other critter defecation) is more widespread in its localities than most will ever know. A public pool is filthier. All day. Ever think about that? The chemicals folks pass into the water? The human arse matter floating around? Gag me. Sure, the coon doo aint play-doh, BUT antibodies do come from exposure. Just dont seek it for fun.
