Wife's family has one every year, never went to one. Her family don't like me nor me them
My family on dad's side he ended relations before he passed 35 years ago. Never spoke to them since.
Mom's side had one she threatened if we didn't go so we did. That was 10 years ago. She'd the last of her family.
Like class reunion. If I wanted to see them I would.

Remember when we were young and our folks took us to see the older family... grandma/grandpa/aunts/uncles. Society has changed in a couple generations it seems. Now, older generations are expected to go to the younger folks. Backwards of what it was 50 years ago. So you'd need the 20 to 30 year olds to invite the family to them. Ah, ain't happening. Grandma and Grandpa have been replaced by Google.
