If even that^^ My long departed Grandmother would not be happy with ALL of us...there is a family reunion scheduled in a few weeks for members of her side of the family...., which is the folks I grew up with in the 70's and 80's at the reunions....many are no longer with us....I'm not sure if I'm attending yet or not

Wife's family has one every year, never went to one. Her family don't like me nor me them

My family on dad's side he ended relations before he passed 35 years ago. Never spoke to them since.

Mom's side had one she threatened if we didn't go so we did. That was 10 years ago. She'd the last of her family.

Like class reunion. If I wanted to see them I would.

We used to, but the ones that always organized everything have passed away and no one else picked up the torch.

My two kids and all four grandkids are finishing up a week at Holden Beach, NC. First time we have all been together for a week. Fun.

Nope. That's where I met my wife. Don't want to make that mistake again...

Most of the old timers are gone, people drift away, I've got cousins by the barrel full I wouldn't know if I tripped on them.

yes we have one every other year , it's a great time, get to see people i have not seen in two year 's , lots of them live far away , like law dog , I have not miss one in 30 plus years , lots of people have move on , put there kids and grandkids are still coming [some]

Remember when we were young and our folks took us to see the older family... grandma/grandpa/aunts/uncles.
Society has changed in a couple generations it seems.

Now, older generations are expected to go to the younger folks.
Backwards of what it was 50 years ago.

So you'd need the 20 to 30 year olds to invite the family to them.
Ah, ain't happening.
Grandma and Grandpa have been replaced by Google.
