Those are actually masterpieces, Bud! Don't those big Loggerhead turtles tear them up when they take the chicken livers off the hook?

I am the fortunate owner of one of Mr. Guidry's flies. His flies are works of art.

Same here Drifter...I have fished with some grey ghosts I tied. They are supposed to represent a wounded smelt, but mine looked more like a smelt that had been dead for three days in the hot Sun...

As always Bud, amazing artwork...

I have enjoyed Bud's special work of art on my desk for some years now. He named this one Bunting. Inspiring, one of a kind, each one he creates.

I wonder how something like that would look in a clear resin type of display. Be a bit tricky to get the fly to look right but it could be done.

I think that would be fun to see in a display with a trout/salmon chasing it

Today is a good day. I just found out that Bud is still alive.

I saw someone the other day with the same last name and thought of Bud. I thought "Darned shame that we lost him".

Rarely am I happy to be mistaken.

I'd love to see one of those in the corner of a king or silver's mouth. Almost to pretty. Almost! A true work of art that would look great accompanied by a photo of the fish it caught.

Yes I have, redfish and specks, spey flies work great also, bronze mallard wings during brown shrimp season, silver mallard wings during white shrimp season. Flies like this should never be used to actually fish, well not mine, these are one of a kind collector items

I keep looking and trying to figure out how you do that on some things. Is there a good book one can stat the journey with?

Nice! If I got one of those hung in a tree behind me (and I would) while fishing, I'd have to break out the chainsaw.

Drifter, Raddencick, frodin. I'm in raddencicks last book but you want his first book, kinda tough learning these application from a book though. Its abit complicated . Better have good eyes, these are not like fishing flies, one loose strand of silk can ruin a good fly

Thanks Bud. I figure will need one of those magnifying glasses with a light.
