The hurricane is just now over the top of Galliano. Said there was 150,000 without power. He has a generator, but I would think it will be hours before they're out of the storm, check out neighbors, etc., and gets back here to posting.

Those storms take a while and even after they pass inland, the work begins. Tidal surges and leftover wind and driving rains prevail for some hours . Which also hinders bigly the linesmen who have to cut away all the junk in the roads to get to the power lines. It's a real mess.

Not sure where Buds at, but Grand Isles is getting hammered.

Angela, when is it for cast to hit you ? Looks like my family hometown of Vicksburg is gonna get hammered also

Bud is in Galliano which is 5 miles north of Golden Meadow which they keep showing on TV. The eye of the storm is approaching there now, which I guess is the halfway point.

Tuesday morning. Not gonna be much up here though. Mild wind and plenty of rain is all.

Oh they changed it... looks like sometime Monday evening now.

it's his wife's family cookbook that has sold a bunch,

he even wrote down remarks on several of the receipts.
