II Cor. 1:3-4, "Blessed be God, even the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."
I needed this very much today as I lost my wife of over 65 years yesterday. Now I am headed for church services to lean on those who can give comfort. I just said a prayer for you . Loss is hard to cope with at first .

Do everything without complaining Philippians 14:2 Philippians only has four chapters. Believe you meant Php 2:14, which in the NASB reads: "Do all things without complaining or arguments;"
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." -Edmund Burke "We are fast approaching... rule by brute force." -Ayn Rand

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor heigth, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What a blessing you received to be able to have a woman to love that long and a woman that would love you that long. I recently celebrated 20 this week with my wife. I am jealous of the love you and your wife had and still have.
If you had to give any of us advice who want a marriage like yours, what would you tell us? You and your lovely bride obviously did something right.
Heartfelt and sincere condolences brother. I cannot express how sorry I am.
Thank you (and others) for your kind words. She wasn't hard to love but she must have had a great capacity for love to have put up with me. Advice? Put the other first. Love God. Base your relationship on His word. Never go to bed with hard feelings. It is hard to say your last nights prayer together if you are angry.

What a fine testimony to the Genesis 2:24 covenant this is! May the Lord Bless you both and remind you that while you said goodbye sweetheart to your wife of so many memorable years this week, it's a Divine Promise that you'll see her again upon the New Dawn. Blessings, Mark
