Our granddaughter Pearl, age 11, who's just been diagnosed with Covid, might appreciate prayers or expressions of good hopes for her recovery. I know I will.
So far she has a headache and fever, but Covid has been confirmed by testing.
Does anyone know the course the disease takes in older children or how long it affects pre-teens? Her doctor says children aren't at serious risk, and Pearl's condition doesn't concern her doctor. But I know doctors who never show concern, except when it's something that affects their income.
I hope this thread doesn't violate the No Covid posting rule. If I included a rant I'd really like to make, I'm sure it would.

Prayers as I know too well there is nothing more frustrating then a sick child.

Prayers. My 15 y/o daughter had it about a month ago. Fever, felt very weak, slept alot for about 2 days. After that symptoms got better. Had a "dog bark" chest cough that lingered maybe 2 weeks. 100% back to normal now.
For by grace are you saved by faith, and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Your granddaughter should do just fine. She'll now have the antibodies which will be a good thing. I'll include Pearl in my prayers.
