Just wanted to throw this out there. While looking at the NTA and FBU web pages I discovered that a picture of a European Badger is shown on both web pages instead of our American Badger. I'm a little thrown off by this as we trappers are promoting ourselves as being very knowledgeable about the world in which we engage our activities. I emailed FBU about this and received no response.
As a person who has a college background in wildlife, a 32 year career in wildlife law enforcement and 47 years on the trapline this causes me pause. I realize that I may be wound a bit too tight but what say you?

Interesting. Probably not a lot of folks noticed that.

If you click on the badger picture on the main page and go to the page with more information about the badger, isn’t that a picture of an American badger?

Hopefully the right person will see this posted on Tman and get the correction made.

I did bring this up to a couple of the FBU board members at the NTA but they may of forgotten. Will see one of them next weekend again so I'll bring it up to them again.

All trappers do not live in Badger Country. I think I have seen one badger while turkey hunting in the midwest. One scampered across a hill in a pasture 200 yds or more from me. If you showed me pics of European and American side by side, I would not have a clue. But I would also agree that American organizations should be showing our native wildlife.

As the kids would say OMG!
I just clicked on the picture of what is purported to be an American marten on the NTA site and I then got a picture of a Gulo! I guess they are both Mustelids, close enough. I'm done with my rant.
