What has surprised you? What do you have and like? What are you thinking about getting? Coupons and deals should be happening pretty heavy in the next couple months.
Titanium 125 flux core, so far a good machine. Icon box wrenches, I was surprised. Various hand tools haven’t been to bad.
I need a cheap bench grinder and a couple one job cheap electric tools.

Fist thing I check is the Clearance Rack! I check there too. For different reasons. Good place to look at which tools failed and not to buy that tool.

I got a belt sander that has got the job done so far. Also got a Sabre saw at Wally World for $19.99! Since my other 2 were 1700 miles away from where I needed it. 5 hp Predator tiller engine for $100. Put oil and gas in it, choked it and it started on the first pull. Runs like a sewing machine.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Those Predator engines may be the best deal going. Replaced an engine on a John Deere rototiller with a Predator and it is VERY reliable and is going on 3 years. $99.00 great deal IMO! Chris

Buddy and I started a youtube channel. We needed a case for cameras and gear. They carry Pelican and Apache. We bought the Apache because it was cheaper. Really pleased with it.

Got a 7 inch angle grinder that I have flat out abused for about 5 years. Still runs good. Bought AC gauge set, and a coolant system pressure tester from them. Was skeptical, but can honestly say when I've needed them they have done the job. I buy shop hammers, sledgehammers there too. Only thing from them I was disappointed in was a flat screwdriver my Dad bought. I busted the tip on it tightening a hose clamp!

I remember as a kid late 1960's ridiculing a lot of "Jap junk". It sure didn't take them long to figure out the quality thing.
I suspect the same thing either will be, or has already started to happen with the "Chinese junk".

Their car jacks have been good for us. I also use their yellow work gloves, under $2 a pair and they last just as long as the blue gloves from Home Depot.

Haven't seen a coupon or freebie since covid started, while the power tools there may not be top notch, they're good enough for most of us, I get a lot of odds and ends there that are as good as anything in the big box stores for a lot less. Yeah, it's mostly made in China, so is almost everything anywhere else. I stopped obsessing over it...it is what it is. Most goods at big box stores with brand names are also made in China, Harbor Freight just makes no effort to hide it.
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

I’ve got a little 8 gal air compressor that was around 50 bucks ten years ago. Was completely submerged during hurricane Mathew and still runs great. Made hundreds of beehives and thousands of frames with it.
