Any past member of the military is subject to recall, for any reason, at any time, with no notice.

I am soon to be 75 and the expiration date on my Military ID card reads "Indefinite". You tell me. The wife's dependent card must be renewed every four years.

My reason for this question is that I’m hearing rumors that milley will be forced to resign over his actions of breaking chain of command…. I don’t know the validity of the rumors…

Definitely yes. When you raise your right hand and take the oath you can be subject to court martial well after retiring from the military.
