Like a song stuck in your head? Yup.
"He's a real nowhere man living in his nowhere land....making all his nowhere plans for nobody."
A song John Lennon write about Biden back in the 60s.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

For that, you have to have a strong sense of music and sound in your mind to control.

I can imagine music or songs in my mind almost as if I am hearing it . Breaking down each note as played all at once, voice harmonies the same. When something tries to stick that I don't want, I change the tune to something well known and loved. That works.

Practice can make one better in doing this. If there is access to tunes to hear, simply hearing one can do it.

Howevah.......a musician who is learning a new tune or song to sing, does have that mental practice in mind almost all the time until they have it down well. Can't count the times I have broken down each harmony part at once in my head and practiced each one until I have them all mastered ....same with instrumentals . That can go on for some days ....

Imagine what an orchestra conductor must go through...even though they read sheet music.

Yes, but why is it always the crappy songs that get stuck in your head? I have to be very careful not to hear even a little bit of any Queen song, or it follows me around for the next 3 days.

Don't know why, but it is almost always Irish Ballads (Danny Boy etc) that tune in.

No wonder every time I watch the news the song Seek and Destroy by Metallica pops in my head.
