Here, cannot use snares on upland portion of land controlled the game and parks commission during upland bird season. Since that season runs well into winter it makes it tough to snare on g&P public land here. I believe this was concensus with bird hunters. Beaver I believe if set in water are just fine though.
Personally I dont trap or snare public land here, too many visitors to that land on our end of the state. Very busy places indeed.
Go bang on doors here and get private access, much less hassle and issues.
