Ice museum was pretty cool; how could it not be...We took the riverboat ride on the Chena River as well...Not too far away is Chena Hot Springs, and that was interesting, and you can fish for grayling on the North Branch of the Chena River on the way up to the hot springs..
I'd like to go back in the winter for the Ice Carving Festival...

No salmon fishing in Fairbanks, head to the coast for that. There is a good museum at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, don't miss the gold museum if you don't mind drooling over gold nuggets nearly the size of your fist.

I'd like to go back in the winter for the Ice Carving Festival... I will second what Redknot says about the Grayling ffishing on the Chena. Wife and I spent a day of spectacular fishing on one hole we found. Moosetrot

Drive to arctic circle Pee in Yukon river Hunt small game (after August 10th opening) ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, sharp tail grouse, rock, willow and white tale ptarmigan. Shoot a caribou Take a hike Soak in chena hot springs Drive to Valdez, catch a salmon, halibut, shark, rock fish ling cod……….. Watch the sun never set Drive to Denali (look at a big mountain) See a black bear See a wolf See a grizzly bear See a moose The list is literally endless……. Weed shop on every corner-smoke a fattie? PM me if there is anything else or if I missed anything. I skipped a lot of touristy stuff.
