Ford Ceo was all over the news showing off their electric truck and mustang. But FOX news reporter ask how many they had made and when they will be available. This was mixed in with the announcement about battery plants in Ky and TN. 100,000 ORDERED only display and few made for public. 2 year wait IF Biden keeps sending them the checks. I mention this because had a thread last month on HOW these companies are reporting profits when they don't have anything on the lots/ shelves to sell !! But some on here said it was because of over head down. LOL Really leaving the lights on is over head. THEN the reporter as him why revenue was down 50% YES FIFTY percent ! The japanese chip plant they use burned to the ground !!! The revenue drop was the second quarter of this year. BET this quarter will be even more !! They're saving the world but can't make them. LOL BIG selling point is they can power your house if electric goes off HMMM But they can only power themselves for 300 miles on level ground ?
They had a revenue of 127 billion in 2020 when extra money from boosted unemployment had folks around here buying new trucks cars 4 wheelers, ect.
SOOOO half that is roughly down 63 billion. Ford is not just selling cars to get their income so car sales isn't all of it.
Take out the" bail out " (subsides) and they would be bankrupt !!!OR most companies would. You ain't selling you ain't making money. Unless gubment is sending you money each month.

Ford never got bailed out.

I bought a new 250 last month it’s supposed to here in January. Hopefully it shows up. Only the second new vehicle the wife and I ever bought. I hate waiting

Don't doubt it . But big business bases it on last report. Sales can be down then go back up. But still not be up to were it was and they celebrate. Company that big has to sell so many units just to break even. OH NO wait uncle sam's allowance is coming in every month so never mind.

We'll see how many get sold when interest rates get to 5%, the Feds are going to have to raise rates or inflation will get out of control. Saying inflation is 2.5 % is a lie and we all know it.

Semi-conductor shortages are expected to last into 2023, some say the end of 2023. A lot of new car dealerships will be closing their doors if that is the case.

Not saying Ford does not get free gubmint money, but I don't know that you can count rebates of " taxes paid" getting money? Most of the tax credits appear to be from carryover losses they could not deduct on previous tax years.

Why not ? wasn't it monies "given " back to them OR they didn't have to pay to start with? Credit I think means didn't pay it.

LOL yes that is "new way " (bidens acct) to figure inflation. They don't include the cost of food or fuel. THE TWO things every American MUST have to survive. But everything is up 20-30 % except income.

the govt is giving everyone $.....but that may stop for a while in a bit, hopefully. A government crash and dollar crash is the only chance to get back our republic.
