I know the talking heads on TV say the majority believe in socialism\communism, but I doubt the veracity of that claim. A large number certainly but not a preponderance. I would be shocked if its 30%. Its my opinion that a lot of people support big D because their family always has. They don’t bother to educate themselves as to what that is today. Start taking away government aid and programs from individuals, families, businesses, communities and states and you will find more are for socialism than against it at least by action if not by name . This countries economy is on life support. You can only print so much money, tax people so much and raise the debt ceiling so long before you can't pay the electric bill for the life support. When a real depression sets in these people will want and expect the government to ease their suffering. Same mentality that's got us were we are at but will get worse as times get tougher. And there's no avoiding the effects of our spending problems. Might be able to kick it down the road aways but it will happen. Socialism will say the government should and can fix it, democracy and capitalism says the people will have to suffer through it and come out better for it. Which do you think this society will choose when that time comes?

Sat through a fascinating but stark legal lecture last night here at seminary in our chaplaincy program from a long time ethics attorney.
She laid out, with no political bent either way, how the federal government has systematically superseded states rights and the FG's own authority....
especially since the 1940's, but ramping up VERY fast since 2000,
to mandate.
How, when it's not deemed legal or has been shot down legislatively (in most case).
It's Simple. The attorney put on slide after slide after slide.... continuing today.....
It's called; the purse.
The FG now, but really starting 80 years ago in fine fashion after politic goings-ons, has bypassed the legislative process by holding state $$$$$$$$$$$$ hostage until a state backs down and concedes to get the cash. He who controls the printing press, controls the law in the 21st century and it's scary what's on the horizon.
The room of about 25 people I was in was amazingly silent because it's so crappy.
By any chance was that presentation recorded? It sounds like one I would have liked to have heard. Warrior, I believe it was. Most all these are recorded. Let me do some checking. I'll find it and send it on a PM to anyone who'd like to watch it. It's a brilliant presentation from the 1600 America until today.

We are witnessing the change in America. The majority of the people live in the large metropolitan areas. The majority that live in those areas need or use government services. As the generations continue. More need for government. Less on self reliance. The banking system is another means to control the working class. To give to those more deserving. Who deserve everything you earned. Because they deserve it. It is a human right to have what others have. It's sad to watch Atlas Shrugged play out before your very eyes.

As the generations continue. More need for government. Less on self reliance. The banking system is another means to control the working class. To give to those more deserving. Who deserve everything you earned. Because they deserve it. It is a human right to have what others have. We’ll wait for them to kill each other off before getting too concerned. Once those numbers have thinned out we see if the ones left have a change of heart.
