I picked this up tonight after making the winning bid at an auction. I stumbled on to an Arisaka type 99 Japanese rifle around 20 years ago (couldn't pass it up for only $25!). I've been looking for the matching bayonet ever since.

Nice bayonet. Is it a type 30 bayonet? Bayonets are cool and most are well made and well balanced.

There is a lot of different forms of the 30 bayonet. I like the ones with the curved guard better.

I collect old weapons and items, like cleavers and hatchets, that can be used as weapons.

The only WWII piece I have is this D42 Aircraft Crash Axe.

The first "sword" I ever bought, back when I was 18, was an 1895 Modelo Argentina bayonet made in Solingen Germany by Kirschaum & Company.

I have a pair of US WWI Calvary Swords that were designed by General George Patton.

I have a few items. I have about 5 Nazi items. One I almost tossed because I didn't know what it was. Just by chance I found a pic the old man took of all of the Nazi stuff and was glad I didn't toss it. I have a few coins from the reich.

'43 M1 Carbine. Manufactured by Quality Hardware with the correct barrel manufactured by Rockola which was located just down the street at the time.
'44 Walther PP pistol. War marked.
Type 44 Japanese rifle. Most of the MUM was ground off at time of capture.

You got that cheap . I used to collect , I sold my model 1935 nazi 3rd rural military police helmet a couple of years back . The Nazi's had 3 military police units and then they grouped them together and came up with the SS . The helmet was before the start of the war . The only thing wrong with it was the liner rotted away . I have uniforms , field packs and other stuff . My brother at one time had a naval cournance map for the invasion of Normandy , plus had naval charts of ship so you could identify them from the air . He does have a disarmed Japanese booby trap .

Keith, it is a type 30. I wanted the curved guard but couldn't pass on this one. It's a mid war production and from the same arsenal as my rifle. Cool axe!
