I can speak for the birdies flying into things, they are confused by light reflection off of city buildings , since many migration flocks do fly at night , they can easily become entangled in the light polluted mire and window reflections.
Yes they do hit those wind mills. Terrible toll on them.
As for windows, in feeding birds for some decades, at certain times of day, when light is just right off windows, all they see in flight are the reflections of trees and sky. They just are not programmed to learn about glass. In having blinds pulled , closed partway, they do see those, as well as screens, and generally the hits stop.
Sometimes , in a chase scenario , they still can , in their focused chasing, bump windows with screens.

This has been a great thread so. I hope no one surrenders and the dual continues.
I am hoping coonman weighs in too. Probably only way we can get some clarification on this subject

Sorry no, uses to much data on my phone. One thing I don’t think many are aware as far as the bird thing goes , the tips of the blades are moving much faster than many realize. They can exceed the speed of sound on a windy day and the props have to be feathered to avoid sonic boom. The state of Wyoming has more than our fare share and I have watched the shadows of the blades sweep across the road I was on much faster than my truck doing 70 mph.

Hmmm I'm wondering when it will be proven that computers will cause an anomaly of the brain just.
More specifically that would be the internet and social media. To test the theory about wind mills affecting gravity I hiked to the wind mills outside Healy and found I weighted a half pound less than I did at the parking lot. Proof positive that the OP is onto something.

It's all the fault of Bitcoin miners. In large part that's true. Removing all those coins from one spot in the earth will change the CG of the planet. Also, as the price of bitcoin increases there is a noticeable increase in the precession of the earth's axis that can be seen in a greater 'wobble' at the poles. If the Chinese mine the bitcoins the Poles don't notice as much

Yep birds hit them and when they are placed in the wrong routes the effect is massive. Read posts about how the electricity produced is not what they claim. Imagine if they don't actually care about the birds and environment at all. All they care about is producing enough juice for a small amount of population and not sustaining the rest of us. Then the plan works. BTW I sat in meetings as a real estate agent trying to sell land to the wind farms. Not now.

I wonder if everyone drove an electric car and drove the opposite direction of the earth's rotation would it cause bananas to curve the opposite direction?? Now I'm getting confused. Now that sounds like something Bidon would say,lol

There are 474 wind turbines in my county. I can see about 200 of them on a given day and have 3 with a quarter mile of my house. All I will say is what I have observed. I trap around 2 of them,so am near the base a few times a season. I have never seen a dead ANYTHING under this admittedly small sample. We are on a major swan migration route and I have seen them in the spring fly right through several windmill arcs unscathed. Do I like them? No, but really sticks in my craw is that the electricity generated goes to other parts of the state. The only plus for me is that the wind farm arranged for free garbage pickup in my township. Not much of a trade.

I think rush Limbaugh put this best, but not talking about windmills. Thinking that we can have that big of an affect on the world is the same as saying if we all jump at the same time, we will change the orbit of the earth. X2 His environmentalist rants were some of my favorites

I read where the wind turbines would steer us towards a meteor collision but thankfully cow farts have gathered in sufficient amounts to blow earth back to the safe path.
Blow Blow Blow your wind.... gently from the farm.... merrily merrily merrily.... life is but a.....
Gotta love dairy farmers! Saving the planet one wind at a time from the turbinators!
Blessings, Mark Hey, what about Beef farmers? Beef cows don't have as much gas. LOL.

If the Earth is flat, we'll just have to move to the other side. If the earth was flat, cats would have pushed everything on it over the edge by now. Thats proof enough for me to believe that it isn't flat.
