Grays like cat sets they like to climb also most any of you know bait will work. One of the biggest factors is what time of season it is that will have a lot to do with it. Early season food based more on the fresh side colder weather it can be a little louder then matting season blind sets can pick up the one's that wouldn't respond to lure.
No matter where you go there you are.

When we had lots of grey's I used to catch them in dirt holes with bait and whatever red fox lure I bought at the time. Grey's here tended to stick to the brushy areas and woods unlike the reds that would wander lots of open fields.

I'll get specific....try Fox Hollow's Bounty Hunter lure. MTP sells it exclusively. There is not a grey fox that will walk by it.
There are many other good grey fox lures...some mentioned above.

ok i did before but had no luck and i never caught them on camera again
Whenever you have a low population of grays they seam to move around , they seem to be very territorial, grayes in north Iowa were probably the best example of seeing this behavior, there were small groves mixed hard woods surrounded by crop land. They love plum thickets and acorns. I don't know if they actually eat the acorns maybe just hunting the rodents around them . The small groves would generally have a pear of grays. Sweat fruity bait-lure in mild weather, cold weather loud lure, they are not trap shy ,caught many in un covered traps with shingles pans. Have fun.
