The directions on how to make venison bacon are on youtube.

The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

This sounds like sausage/meat loaf to me; not bacon.

Have you ever listened to someone for quite a while and wondered...."Who ties your shoelaces for you?"

Maybe closer to venison Spam. I can't say I am a real fan of it. If you like Spam you should like it.

I know that it is called bacon, but no it is not whole meat.
My impression is that it tastes like a well smoked ham.
It never lasts long around here.

Texture is very firm, is it not Friar? Once cooled it should slice like semi-frozen beef???

Yes much firmer than spam.
I slice it after a night in the fridge, then vacuum seal, and freeze
