Is a property ownership online app like ONYX legal definition of property? Have a deer stand that I know is very near line of adjacent property that hasn’t been hunted for 20 yrs, no issues. Week before season new leaser of adjoining property puts a “no trespass” sign on our stand because he says platt map phone app says we are on his land. It does look close but isn’t there some +/- with that level of GPS? Does’t he have to have a legal survey to do this. Property corners for that boundary are not staked.
I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

Simple answer no.. How do you know the stand isn't on the adjoiner? If you own the property look at your survey or get one done. Make sure they mark the line.

Get your land surveyed and file the survey with the county. Better to be positive where the line legally is before causimg any issues.

No. Half of our 30 acres of woods is public land per Onx. Its been surveyed several times in the last 40 years so its not us that's wrong. It also shows half of my grandmas house as public ground.

Onyx gets their property ownership information from public GIS sources. You may want to drop by your county mapping department and have it corrected.

Did they do a plat map when they surveyed it? If so get an ariel overlay with google earth and settle it. If not you will have to have boundry marked /flagged.

I really wouldn't have a stand right on the line. What if the animal you shoot, runs onto the other property. I just wouldn't take that chance.

I know it was risky to have stand that close but we located at best geography and with aerial overlay. I just don’t know if he has legal right to post my stand from Onyx alone without having property line officially surveyed

He did it and relied upon similar information as you. How about challenging him to an Indian leg wrestling contest.

The county tax info is not always uploaded to the net accurately. We had an oddball situation where we had bought about an acre and a half that was surrounded by our farm property. New deed got recorded and the new land showed up on the county records out in the middle of a pasture over 300 yds from the actual location. It took a while but we finally got the county to correct the error and show the lot at the correct location.
Get your survey platt and find the corners and lines. Every County GIS that I have ever used has an accuracy disclaimer on it. GIS is usually fairly close but the legal description on the survey/deed is what you have to go by.

Line hunting is becoming a necessity as recreational hunting parcel ever shrink here. A group that once could afford 160A forced down to 40 because of taxes can’t all sit in the middle. I will get the line surveyed I’m just trying to see if he has any real right with just Onyx to keep me from my stand this season. If I’m off it can’t more than10-20’. The land adjoining is OWNED by a trust, I’m dealing with the leaser.

He don’t Drake. Tell him to take the sign off your property unless he wants to split the costs of a survey with you. If you have had that stand there for several years tell him the ground is yours regardless due to adverse possession. If you let him Buffalo you now, you might lose some ground. Onx property lines are very often wrong. Adverse possession is not near that simple in MN. Almost no one can actually get a legal adverse possession claim here

I'm curious. When you're sitting in your stand do you face your property or the Trust property?

Get a metal detector and go looking for old survey stakes might be the cheapest route.
