Care to explain a bit? I'm a little confused.

When you split persimmon seeds the middle will look like a fork knife or spoon. Each is a diffrent prediction of the type of winter thats to come. I cant remember what shaped mean what off the top of my head.

I "think" a spoon / shovel means a lot of snow, a fork / hay fork means warm, as in still cutting hay in winter, and a knife indicates cold and windy that 'cuts like a knife'. At least thats what I remember grandpap saying.

What does it mean if your tree produces seeds that when cut open, some of the seeds show the spoon, some show the fork, and some show the knife? All the seeds come from the same tree.
