Just Coyotes to keep my chickens safe and maybe help out the small game on my patch a bit

Did some beaver for about a week or so,then hurt my back breaking dams,so pulled all the traps for now.
Gonna heal up and set some marten boxes and land fur snares when the snow comes.Got 18 beaver carcasses in the bait shed.

FHA fur report says marten prices will continue to increase over last year.Quite a bit of buyer inquiries about expected quantities of several species.

I will...still trying to establish myself. I'm hunting yotes early, coons in between, bobcats/badgers late, water critters as they come...and anything extra I can get!

Got a few rat traps out now and a couple canine sets out. Waiting a couple of weeks to put more sets out!.

...forgot, will be helping my son (14) get his line established as well.

Going to set around the home place I can’t see going to my other counties will set heavy for yotes as long as the weather holds out. I have my 4H class again this year so I will see what that’s going to do next week when we meet for the first time this year.

Come November 15 it will be wide open for me.

Started a few days ago. Catching Fox, Raccoon, Coyote, Skunk and Beaver. Dropped a few mink sets today. Showing grandkid how to trap and testing gear and lure.

I as well. I enjoy it, wife wants a racoon vest, daughter a bobcat one, and son a hat of some kind. I am also tired of hearing the coyotes howling around here as of late and seeing a shocking low amount of fawns this year.

I have 3 beaver jobs to set….going to set some steel tomorrow. BEAVER BUCKS !!!!

Going to chase after beaver again when our zone opens on Dec. 6. Grandson asked me if he can come along. Geez I hate to hear that!

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Ok, so I took that verse out of context. About 10 or 11 weeks of recovering from the rona. Its been about 3 seeing days to get out 70 some sets. Fortunately the coyotes are good and clean so far. 2 weeks before cats. Probably have two turn a couple loose before then. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY !!!

Mentoring a young man who wants to learn how to trap coyotes and muskrats so put out a few for us to check. Will be heading back "up nort" in a few weeks to chase some more yotes as well. Meet some great people up there last year and several have called to ask when was coming back. Had a blast last year and hope to repeat it again this year.
