Shaving can be as simple or complicated as a guy wants.

Since you seem to enjoy the experience, I have to ask the question(s);

• Do you use a pre shave oil?
• which one? commercial or homemade?
• How about an after shave?

Ain’t nothing like Hi Karate after shave to scream manly man to all them women.

To heck with the women. That is just a secondary benefit.

It's all about me! I want something soothing and good for my skin. All the stuff I make has some aloe or certain essential oils in a carrier oil, all of which have some beneficial properties, and no nasty chemicals.

I quit shaving about 42 years ago.

I got a couple razors. Usually just use a disposable though. use canned shaving cream after a hot shower no matter which razor i use. Every year son and his buddies celebrate the marine Corps birthday. Decided this year they would all be clean shaven. He borrowed one to finish taking his beard off.

But when Iam done shaving and rinsed my face….I run this Alum stick undah cold water and rub it all ovah my Hollywood face…keep wetting it,to make it slide on your skin. You will feel “ A good Burn “…when your done running that alum stick on your skin…let it set 15-20 seconds…then rinse well. Then apply a good thin coat of the Proraso Balm onto your face….nice cooling feeling. These 2 steps remove all razor burn…and leaves the skin refreshed and hydrated . When the Proraso is all absorbed into the skin….apply your cologne/Aftah Shave.

I just dry shave with an old rusty disposable.
