I doubt it made the media in the US, but Belarus pushed two or three thousand people toward the Polish border about two weeks ago. Poland doesn't want them and they are sitting in snow and rain. The president of Belarus has threatened to shut down the pipeline of natural gas that feeds mostly Germany but all of western Europe as well, if Europe puts sanctions on his country. For now, Putin is being the good cop and telling him not to shut down the line, no doubt because Russia needs the cash flow, but Putin certainly has the control of this guy. Trump told Germany and Europe that they could buy their gas from a friend instead of someone that we spent billions defending them from in NATO.

For now things are calm, but imagine if Putin goes back again after the Ukraine for the oil, and the US does nothing... you get the picture. Who'll do anything about it. Same as China and Taiwan. We live in a very different world now.

Plus the U.S. was slowing the construction of the pipeline direct to Germany that would bypass all these former Soviet satellite countries . The pipeline could have already been built if it wasn't for U.S. interference.
