Could try blind sets on slides/crossovers. A trap shy beaver is a tough critter to get. Had one The Boy called "Bob the Beaver", was on a removal job and everyday he'd pull the 330s off the bank and toss them in deep water still set. He even moved a foot hold down to the end of a drowning cable in 5 feet of water without setting it off. Twice! Everyday The Boy would tear a big hole in the dam and every day id ask, "can he build it?" He'd reply, "Yes He Can". Lol anyhow took a lot of trial and error and some help from a wise trapper on this site to finally get him caught. It was kinda bitter sweet catching Bob but the county was happy and I learned much.
Good luck, keep on it and you will catch that beaver. He's got to put his foot down somewhere.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

If they are wised up to footholds, bodygrips and castoreum scent your next step will be blind sets submerged snares.

Unless you are trapping them for nuisance and dont care about the fur dont snare them on land. They wreck themselves if alive in a snare. Submerged snares(drowned beaver) on the other hand wont hurt the fur at all

I have caught some tough ones with a large foothold totally on land and carefully blended in. Run the drowning wire off the side. I have also taken a few with a solid staked trap if checking first thing every morning. Just don't let 'em tangle on anything.

If you educate one at a castor mound, you can pretty much forget castor mounds. Make blind sets and check them less frequently. Beavers aren't rocket scientist, but they aren't completely stupid either.

If you still have a kit. A small amount of that sac oil may help. If you have a channel or a place for a blind set a 330 and the oil on the wind side

Does this carry on to the next season if not caught? Got a pond that I've been working on for 2 years, just made some sets today...crossing everything on my body! Lol

I believe it does.Their guard may be down if you are careful the next season but once they know you are there they become difficult to catch. You can often get trapshy beaver with a snarepole in winter if you get ice.
