I set these new stairs as part of a big remodel I’ve been working on the past several months and today I finished up the balustrade. The first tread is cut open to accept the starting newel and the newel is notched. Lining up the angle for the post to post fastening system Coffman uses. Cutting the handrail. Drilling the holes to accept the dowels on the bottom of the balusters. Installing the square balusters into the plowed handrail. All done.
Eh...wot?

Nicely done. True craftsmanship.
Mike Rowe would be proud.

You must set a mean lean killing machine of a coyote trap! Angle is key and you are an artisan!
