You know how Mark is. Someone hollers "Hey look, a coyote!" and off he goes.

Looking at the red print it states that fur will be tagged and then taken back to the shop to be graded. After that the trapper will be contacted to discuss price? Seems nothing will be bought at the truck during the routes. What happens if you don't like the prices? Will the fur be shipped back to the trapper?

I believe that is just for larger lots of fur, so that can keep on schedule.

Yes I read it that way as well but what will be the actual cut off? If two hundred rats is too many to grade on the route, what will he do with say 20 with from 50-150 rats. That is still going to take some time. I guess having them tag and bag the fur and talk with you later is not much different then shipping and waiting for the sale results. With an auction there are other pending sales down the road in this case I don't know what the options are if there is not agreement.

As is stated in the opening paragraph…it is VERY important to call ahead if you’ll be bringing large quantities.
This gives Trevor an idea of what to expect at a particular stop.

Trevor gives full attention to each and every customer, as many of you know. There is no difference in how he treats the
trapper with 5 rats or the trapper with 500 rats.

There is no perfect way to anticipate the volume of trappers and fur… and keep on a schedule.

I have sent frozen beaver with trevor to his place for him to put up and grade , I have always been happy with what he offered

I sent otter, frozen, to Trevor. Before I sent he gave me a price based on my explanation of the fur. He called and told me they were smaller than he anticipated but because he told me a price, he was going to stick with it.
