Me, my son and my nephew checked some traps in the dark after church tonight. My nephew has trapped very little. You know how it goes, when you take some one that you really want to have a good trip, you usually get skunked.
Well not this time !!! We had three nice beaver, two otter, and one coyote!! We were really happy with that for the number of traps we have out.

Good haul. Over the years I took lots of people along on my line and maybe I was lucky, but most of those times I had a good catch.

Never did like checking traps in the dark but you have to do what you need to do, to make it all work out.

Yep, two boys and one old man. All three of us were tickled
My son caught another coyote today. That makes four in five checks.
One male and three females. Hopefully this will eliminate three packs of pups this spring!!
