black beaver OP trapper Joined: Nov 2021 Posts: 226 Marshall Texas	I am new to trapping bobcats and I going to Texas to hunt and maybe trap some was going to ask y'all what is the best sets for them and i'm running mostly mb550, and in Texas if have to have a tag for them like you do here in wisconsin thanks.

As far as Bobcats I have caught them in every type of land set I've ever made but I have learned to love walk thrust. wytex trapper Joined: Feb 2020 Posts: 484 Wyoming	You'll need to get them CITES tagged either at TPW or by a bobcat fur dealer, it is free. You also have to have the furbearers license to trap them. We use MB 550 quite a bit for our trapping in Wyoming and they work great on bobcats. Trail sets and cubbies work well for us. Texas has some beautiful spotted cats but the fur will be lacking compared to western cats or your WI cats. Lots of folks use snares down there too. Get some hogs while you're down there!!!
