Having an after dinner nip or Eagle Rare myself Haven't noticed the STAGG at the local liquor store yet. I'll have to check it when I see it. Thanks for sharing. Don't drink too much anymore but I haven't quit either

I need to start trying some of these different ones. I always just grab Crown or Pendleton.
I have nothing clever to put here.

My son is a bourbon drinker. He was the manager of an auto parts store in Seattle for awhile. Owner came in one day when they were closing and gave him a bottle. Said whoever closed at night, when they finished, were to have a taste of bourbon before they left. He got to liking it. I have drank some pretty pricey stuff he brings over here once in a while. I cant say I like any of it any better than wild turkey so far. Last one he brought over all excited about had a plastic horse on top the lid. It was real smooth but had a kind of smokey taste I didnt think was that wonderful. He was unhappy that I could not see what was special about it. He has brought the cheap stuff the last few times we sat down to have a snort together. He knows I will likely only have crown royal in the freezer and some jack in the cupboard. Hard to beat those two IMO.

Crown/pendleton = canuk blended whiskey. Bourbon = American Whiskey I love Crown, but I want to support American distillers. The hipsters have screwed up the bourbon world. But, if you take the time to try some different ones, you'll find an affordable everyday drinker that works for you. Danny, the one with a horse on top was Blantons. It is pretty good. We even had bourbon classes at the Colorado sale one year.

What really drives home is when you have a map of the country and place where the whiskey is made and have a road trip Do that in a fall dinner event for several years When the map of Scotland comes out the last stops are on the Isles and a cheeter to go over to Ireland.( just to compare the Isles)

If it's the one I remember they're around $150 to $1500 dollars depending on which one you get
