Boco- Are the backs of your marten really that "blonde" or is it the lighting...?

Boco- Are the backs of your marten really that "blonde" or is it the lighting...? The ones in the pic are more brown, the pic makes the flanks look a bit lighter. I do get some pales and some darks. The finish on the marten this year doesnt look as good as some years. You can notice it on the skin on the right. Looks like a crappy short nap ranch mink.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Another nontarget today The sight of dry dirt makes me smile. It has been an absolute mud fest here. It seem like months since we had any moisture.

My oldest has been trapping culverts for our town along with his brother. He can’t drive yet so we’re bombing around in my old Forester. At times they call it the Stink Wagon.
Sorry for the sideways pics. I’m not sure how to spin them.

Sure like seeing other folks using cages! What do you use for freeze proofing your cages dirtydog? I’ve always used Vaseline myself but would be interested if you use something different. I've been using the Vaseline all So since I started trying out cages that I built. The cat today was caught in one of them. Although I was told by Mercer lawing when I met him and purchased a cam trip cage. That I should try a gun oil called 80 below full synthetic sporting oil. Here's a link to Macks prairie wings, I just haven't tried it yet. https://www.mackspw.com/shooting/accessories/gun-cleaning-suppliesOk cool, I’ll have to give that a try.
