Is it to have a coyote dye in a foot hold trap on a 24 hour check ?
Iv had them shot and such but had a big male today just dead with a hole
Chewed in his back above his hip bones. He was still a little warm when i got there.
Any ideas. He was caught in a montana # 3 by front foot.
Thanks

How big was the hole? I have had yotes kill yotes before i a trap, but was always eaten partially, usually the organs ate first. I’m thinking possibly an eagle. Goldens will eat coyotes readily, but usually don’t kill them. I’ve had lots of fox, coyotes and cats eaten out of snares.
