Hey guy new to trapping and can’t find the answer on the Internet. I had to pull all my traps out of the ground to go out of town for a family funeral and was wondering do I need to pressure wash re-dye and wax before I put them back in the ground when I come back or would they be OK just a throwback in the ground. Worried about sent.

No need to as long as they haven't made a catch. Be more concerned if they had blood on them. Sorry for your loss.

Wow, so many questions. Why didn't you just fire them in the beds? Are they now contaminated? If not reset em. Don't know your local law re: 24 hr. Checks.

They should be fine depending on where they were stored

Well I’m pretty sure they are all contaminated now. If y’all Have contaminated traps from catching something do you re-dye and wax the trap or do you just spray off the trap with a garden hose and wax?

I am a new trapper too, but I can give you my opinion that I would just run them again. Because of where i'm trapping, I am constantly having to move my traps, but I never even gave it a thought to re-wash and re-dye. Is that a thing? Even if mine have blood on them, I just wash them off in the creek, maybe I should be though?
