Merry Christmas everyone. One of my friends went out Christmas morning and I said I hope he finds a present in his wolverine boxes. Lucky guy got 3 presents. Two wolverine and a red fox. I said I can’t wait to go check for my presents and today is trap check day. Pretty windy and some blowing snow today but we should be alright. Got a whole bunch of traps to look at today. One more cup of coffee and I’ll be on my way. Have a good day people. Stay safe.

Heading out to check my cabin. I have a few wolverine boxes to look at. Probably haul a load of wood for the cabin and another half load to haul to town for my warehouse. Tomorrow’s plan is to go and pull everything from my old highway line and get it all ready to extend my new line on the 2nd. Busy days but I love it.

Broke the crankshaft? How many miles on that engine? Not enough to be breaking crankshafts. Weighing my snowmobile options right now but I have a working 550 and it’s getting the job done. I was pulling a load and the overflow was deep and heavy. I over worked the engine the exact same one in spring 2020. Engine was working hard but I can’t wrap my head around a broken crank right now. Just going to keep trapping and working with fur and figure out if I’m rebuilding or selling and buying new. That half a sled load of dry spruce I was pulling when the crank broke came in handy for the wait in -40 weather.

This little guy showed up and watched me unload my trailer. He was still sitting there when I left the truck Getting some bright yellow marten out of one section of the line. I like the black legs and yellow body on this one. Adding up.
