Great pics, lots of snow, and living the dream. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

That kind of snow is only an hour or so away from where I live. And it can stay there!
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Awesome pictures Boco, thanks for posting.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

How come Gibb has the big 4 stroke machine and you just have a tired old 2 stroke? He must have better fur country! Do you have a quota you have to catch on that area? I use my skandic 4 stroke for longer trips on my northern line.MT.I like the 550 for running light. Open quota on that line. Baseline for that area would be about 12 lynx,40 marten and 40 beaver.Adjusted year to year indicated by what is in the bush (Natural cycles}. Lots more fisher on this line compared to the northern line.

That looks like work...slogging around in that....
But it is sure pretty. Opening new trail is a lot of work,Breaking a maintained trail isnt too bad.Once the trail is opened its a breeze after.Just the odd downed tree to buck up once in a while-gotta get firewood anyway. if it wasnt for work at the camp you wouldnt have anything to do..Every activity at a bush camp is some kind of work. You know-hewer of wood and hauler of water, lol. That trail I broke out goes for many miles across the river.if I get bored I can always go for a ride and open some more trail. There is also a trail that goes both north and south from the cabin along the river.Back in the day people who lived in the bush called them their "wood road"They would start at the camp and year after year cut their wood, making a road into the bush towards a fishing lake or somewhere else they wanted to go.Every time they cut wood, the road would be extended, after many years for miles and miles. The wood roads were also the trapping trails and went thru well known productive winter hunting grounds. Where a few families lived in the bush each would have their own "wood road" going out to the hunting and trapping grounds like spokes, each family had their own areas.

Beautiful place. When the snow piles up, do you need to shovel off the roof? Some years in feb or march I will shovel the roof, even at home.

Fascinating the way families created their own road! Chris
