so it frozen out here, and I can't seem to catch any rats they don't want bait I put out for them ( I'm using carrots) all the ice is foggy I found some runs but they seem to be old and don't use them,

and I am on a river and can't find any rat huts so what do y'all do to catch 'em this time of year.

You could try a different bait it that helps, or maybe put the trap at a different height in relation to h20 depth

You can catch rAts all season in Wisconsin. Middle January to middle February is generally the most difficult time. Especially if you are inexperienced. This time of year the Marsh is great at concealing muskrat activities. Wait a few weeks, as it warms, secrets will expose. Good luck!
