Took the ice motor out on the river for a couple loads of wood this weekend.

That's a neat boat. I've never seen one of those motors.

It’s homemade but there used to be a company that made them. I think they were in WI. They call them ice scratchers.

Quite a few of them up here. I think the company was in Stoddard, WI. My son has one that is on his 14 ft. flat. He built a frame for the boat with runners so he can take the scratcher and frame off. Goes really nice!

The boat sits on a sleigh with runners to keep from banging it up. It can haul crazy amount of weight.

I see your "Gator poker" is stuck in one of the blocks on the left side of the load
river wood is always good for a chain sharping afterwards

I have a buddy who did the frame and machined the hub into the wheel. I put the motor, clutch, pillow blocks and bearings in. I couldn’t have done it without him. Motor goes back on mud motor when the water softens up. Lol

River I live on. I put it up on pvc pipes over night so it doesn’t freeze to the ice.

When you last posted a photo of that rig, I thought you were making a joke.
Heck, I want to see a video of that cool ice boat thing running!
How is it if there is now? Does it “cut” right through?
