I used my first 14 over 50 years ago. Caught lots of beaver, but had some sprung empty traps. I gotta ask, does that ever happen to you?

I can’t say the best but I’ve caught quite a few beaver in #4 double longsprings. Victor, B&L. Set up on a drowner. Front foot or back foot catches. I’ve also used TS-85’s with success.

Look on the bright side, you would get to complain about sprung and empty traps at the end of the slider!
