We are getting a bit of snow here , NorŽEaster. Been snowing since dinnertime yesterday , will end around 2-4pm today. Original forecast was 6"-15" but the weatherman has been saying all along that this is hard one to predict as the winds may change and it will effect the outcome.
The latest was a downgrade for my location of 5"-10" Currently about 3" on the ground and very fine snowflakes falling which are the ones over time that really add up to a significant snowfall. They are also predicting high winds which can cause blizzard type white-outs for visabilty.
Anyone else in the area seeing this and if so what is happening in your area?

Weather forecasters today are nothing more than drama queens. Anything to get attention on them. How did we ever survive thirty years ago and beyond without all the drama. Cant wait til we have a ripper of a winter like in 68 or 96 up here again. Our local pansy weather people will be working double time just to try and earn a Emmy!Lol

You guys getting hit by this stay safe. Spring is coming eventually!

I guess theyve dumbed down people to the point where they dont know enough to put a jacket, hat and gloves on when it gets cold.

No snow in our area, the skies are clear, it is windy and cold.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Here in the Rhode Island, just over the border from CT, it started snowing late last night. Winds are pretty strong right now, and I would say we have 5 or 6 inches of snow so far, but that's a pure guess. I think the heaviest is supposed to fall out towards Cape Cod MA.

Came in at 1:00pm yesterday. Salted the route. Plow pump went up 10:20pm, back to the garage for repair. Didnt have part, somebody went and picked it up 45 miles away. Parts arrive 2:40am. Pump replaced and I leave the shop for the route 4:10am. Plowing and salt until I went off the road an hour ago. Now sitting at the staging fresh load of salt waiting for the next route run. I need a Red Bull. lol
