Got a call this evening from a good friend inviting me on a 10 day all expenses paid fishing trip to Alaska in August of course I accepted. Now the hard part. Breaking it to the better half. Probably need to be finding my flame retardant suit and maybe some Kevlar.

But you probably won’t do that because you are here weakly asking for advice.
You might be too weak and wimpy to go on such an adventure.

Why would your wife be upset? It's less than two weeks. There is no way I'd stop my wife from an opportunity like that and she wouldn't dream of stopping me. Why would you marry someone who would be upset at a free Alaskan fishing adventure.
