A loonngg day today. Almost done setting this property. Will finish it tommorrow after checking. My butt is dragging. The heavy clay soils in this big river bottom took it out of me (half is sand ridge...half is river bottom)....now my wrists hurt almost unbearably (had carpal tunnel surgery back in September.)

Heating up one of spaghetti dinners wife made up for me. Bless her heart.

Had a front foot caught coon pull out of a Bridger 2 (dang offset jaws). Had a grey fox and one coyote miss pan.

But, I got John's otter...lol. wish it had been a beaver. I need his backstraps to grill soon.

And I had these.....a young blk female coyote with a nose injury (tapered dh set) and another female coyote (flat set.)
And these other egg eaters...[Linked Image]

After a long day setting, those Dual Action Advil work pretty good on the aches and pains. They hit the inflammation an the pain at the same time.

Good start and hope your luck only gets better! Dr. told me to shake out my hands from time to time to help prevent carpal tunnel. 30 years of construction and never had to have the surgery. You should sleep good tonight!

I knew he’d produce an otter for me. I miss those critters.

Well it's sleeting up here in Arkansas so those Georgia coyotes should have been out getting their groceries last night. I expect you may have a busy day today. Enjoy the thread.

Nice work!

To take the stress off of wrists and shoulders try pre-drilling for stakes or anchors. For unfrozen ground use ship auger bits from Harbor Freight. The stakes and anchors hold just fine.

You fellers gotta give a man time to knock off, sit down and get on Tman...lol

Been another loonngg day. Just got to camp. Im starving!

Was warm and humid here last night.....a coon and possum kind of night. Didn't even see a coyote track in my SxS tracks today. But, i shot 3 cylinders of .22 rimfire today...

Offset jaws work well when you catch possums like this. Last night possums destroyed many perfect coyote flat sets....now they are dirtholes or walkthrus....

Tonight is gonna be another warm, humid night with rain tommorrow.

Nice pictures. Looks like you are hitting them pretty hard. Interesting catch on that grinner. They always seem to mess up some of the best coyote sets, never fails.
