That rub tree would would be a great place to have camera set on video. We have a couple on the property I hunt. It’s hit year after year by bucks of all sizes. Even does will rub up against it.

And don’t feel bad about the coyote sightings. Not getting anything on my cameras, but it’s about time for them to come back through.

Or buy a short one and weld a shank on it. You will have to clean hole 3 or 4 times bit will work. And get a cordless with cement setting. Use cement setting on ship bit as well.

Or a steel bit will work and last

I use my driver to punch in a hole first, his way I don't need to carry along any additional weight.

Fantastic otter location. Narrow stream blocked. Two 330s. One nice male today at this spot. There will be others here.

Good deal. I don’t mind seeing an otter in a trap at all, unless I was planning on cooking what I caught sick

Otters are literally everywhere in most of Georgia and Florida. We are blessed for sure.

Sounds like a hot female made a drive-by with a host of suitors in tow, or a surplus of fresh meat hit the ground.

I would guess the off and on traffic was probably rut related since it was some time in January.

Keep up the good work SW.

Perfect spot. This is the time when otter love is in the air, and they're traveling many miles to find it.

The biggest of the 2 otters weighed 23.8 lbs. Have never weighed one b4, but a scale was hanging at shed, so I weighed the biggun. Ive caught a few bigger than this one, but he was respectable. [Linked Image]

Gettem swamp! Dang yotes.
The best advice I got from an old trapper when I was starting out was “ You can’t catch what isn’t there”
I think your catching what you have access to. Hopefully more will move in.
Looks like you got your beaver back straps. Yum.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

I'll try to post a few terrain pics next few days so yall can see some of what I see.

Bottom pic is what the sand ridge roads look like. There is a flat set in bottom center of pic.[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Top pic is the drainage into the river on opposite side of road where I blocked stream with Belisles. This is draining a large swampy wetland. See other pic of me in water with otter posted yesterday.
