Stuff was the absolute toughest stuff you could ever imagine. Then they went outta business.

I just ran across this :

https://www.stonecreekhounds.com/hunting-clothing

I have absolutely NO connection to these folks or their business. But if this clothing line is HALF as good as the original.........AND made in Pennsylvania, USA............

Check the "Made in" tags on Carhartt, Walls, Dickies, Berne..............any of them.

My chaps from them just arrived yesterday. Good people to deal with and fast shipping.

When I asked about them a couple people on here said they hold up very well, time will tell for me. They have a lifetime zipper replacement also, just have to pay shipping both ways if it's needed.

If Stone Creek adheres to the Wick quality standard..........it's worth every penny they're asking.

My Wick bibs are over 20 years old and have been worn/used hard. Other than them getting a little snug around fat boy's belly.........they appear to have another 20 years left in them.

I believe dans took over wicks but I’m not sure. But dan has been making that clothing and froglegs etc. for many years.

Made in Ohio by the amish

A lot! The brown one is selling for $200 now, and it was the second one. The black one is the original.

I have a pair of stone creek frog legs. Definitely the closest I've found to Wick's.

Yes that was John Wick. From what I understand they went out of business a few years after his divorce. Him and his wife ran the business together, even after the divorce, but I believe that was the final cause of the closing. They were a great outfit, I still have a pair of Wick chaps around that don't get used much any more, and a Wick coat under the backseat of the truck in case of emergencies; the zipper doesn't work on it any more, they were lifetime warranty, but apparently that was the lifetime of WOW, the zipper did outlast them. Just buried my last dog to wear a Wick collar with the collar still on her, those things lasted like their clothing!. Oh and I actually bought the material they made their chaps and coats out of from them in orange twenty years ago and had a survey vest made out of it. Lasted for over ten years and was faded but still going strong when I gave it to kid when I quit surveying.

I still have a pair of John Wick's snake and thorn chaps that I coon hunted in. A cottonmouth could not bite through it. I also have the black Walk with Wick book.

I've still have a set of of his frog legs. One of the last ones they sold as a Wicks brand. I had a coon hunters coat also, but some a-hole stole it from truck a few years ago. For no heavier than that coat was it was one of the warmest coats I ever had.

My son and nephew knew John pretty well and hunted quite a bit with him. Of course they bought most all their coon hunting stuff from him. Great guy from what I have been told.

Since my son quit coon hunting I seldom see any of the guys from the clubs anymore, but when I do it seems almost all of them will have something they got from Wicks.
