Great scriptures. Not really trying to get a debate going; more or less a rhetorical question. How does a Calvinist explain 2 Peter 3:9? God doesn't want ANYONE to perish, but wants ALL to come to repentance.

Philippians 2: 5,6 New World Translation: 5 Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in Gods form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.
King James Version: 5. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (reflecting King James beliefs. Not a translation from Greek manuscripts)
American Standard Version: 5. Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped

^^^^^^^ In reference to:
Philippians 2: 5,6 "New World Translation: 5 Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in Gods form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God."
I would be careful to not draw any theological doctrine from "translations" like the "New World Translation" which obviously have a particular sectarian bias, or other similar "translations" that were written to reflect a particular "translators" viewpoint. These are call "interpretations", not translations.
You can see that the same verses shown below clearly state that even though Jesus and God are co-equal, Jesus himself chose to lower himself to the position of a mere man while here on earth. The NWT attempts to twist that narrative because the particular sect who wrote the NWT doesn't believe that Jesus and God the Father are co-equals.
The problem they have is they think it is poly-theistic to believe that God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three-in-one (or as some call a Trinity). However, they (WTTBS) have created a situation where they in fact are the ones creating a poly-theistic view. If you question these folks closely, they will admit that Jesus is divine. That creates quite a conundrum for them; If God is divine, and Jesus is divine, and they are totally separate beings, you have now created a poly-theistic scenario.
NIV translation: 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness.
NASB (probably the most literal translation); 5 Have this attitude [e]in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be [f]grasped, 7 but [g]emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and [h]being born in the likeness of men.

![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2022/05/full-37291-139148-1652057166020.png) A farmer and his family in ancient China owned a horse. His neighbors said how lucky he was to have such a fine horse to pull his plow through the fields. The farmer said, Maybe yes, maybe no. One day the horse broke through the gate and ran away. His neighbors came around to lament his terrible loss, saying it was a terrible bit of bad luck. The farmer said, Maybe yes, maybe no. Days later the horse returned to the farm along with seven wild horses. His neighbors came around to exclaim his remarkable good fortune, saying, Now you are rich! The farmer said, Maybe yes, maybe no. A few weeks later the farmers son was training the new wild horses and fell off and broke his leg. The neighbors came around to commiserate his misfortune and said, What bad luck! The farmer replied, Maybe yes, maybe no. The next week the army came around taking all the able-bodied young men from the village to fight in the war. The farmers son with the broken leg was left behind. The neighbors now lamented the loss of their sons and commented on how lucky the farmer was to have his son. And so the story goes on

With all the bad going on in this world.. you still read these quotes? Lol. Whatever floats your boats!! What floats your boat? What would you recommend? Watching the news? Social media? I find the Bible to be relevant and more beneficial than many sources out there in this age. Tell me, could you apply this to today?

Cant speak much about politics here but theres a daily scripture or whatever you call it?? Lol look at whats going on in the world the praying mothers n children, wheres your lord?? Lol the same people that laugh at Bigfoot believers are praising this?! Lol get on with it You trolled on here a couple weeks ago. Maybe you don't remember that... I addressed you then, I'll do it again. I believe in a Creator God, you likely believe you evolved from ocean slime. The existence of a Bigfoot is more probable than that. Perhaps you evolved from Bigfoot?

Levi,
I appreciate your daily postings in a world which could stand more Truth. But Scripture tells us that the Truth of God's Word is piercing and that the Gospel is irritating to unrighteousness. We see that more often than we'd prefer and God's Word gives us all direction on mockery of the divinely breathed out Logos ever since it was written.
God's Word on this is "the" Truth and is the same today as it was when Paul wrote about it; "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15 As pastors, we read this verse often in a world full of lol's.
Because Scripture reads that the unregenerate are; "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Tim 3:7. Ephesus, where a young lad Timothy preached, was the epitome of success, wealth, and knowledge 2 thousand years ago. Home to the 7th wonder of the world, the Temple of Artemus. Which is in ruins now and barely a dot on the landscape.
People who aren't believers have a twisted sense of the Gospel Hope, which is an eternal hope, not a worldly gain, so they struggle to "see." And that's OK. "and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." 1 Tim 6:5. That is how all of us believers were at one time. So we extend a hand to all just as God's Hand was extended to us. Nothing we did extended God's Hand of Grace.
It happened before and it'll happen in the future. People who will; "and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths." 2 Tim 4:4.
Your name is an honoring name Levi. We appreciate you taking the time to be kind in a world which finds God's Truth abrasive. Good thing you have your armor! Or you wouldn't stand a chance.
Blessings, Mark

Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
