chas3457 OP trapper Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 8,743 Nebraska, Dawson County	My trapping buddy, neighbor caught a 75 pound wolf 10 miles north of where we live in central Nebraska. He had Game and Parks come look at (in disbelief) and they took a tissue sample for DNA testing. The good news is IT'S DEAD. The great news is He gets to keep it. OH, He caught it in a #3 Bridger. rick olson trapper Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 6,957 Northern Mn	Thanks for sharing,guessing it was a 3 year possibly 2 year old,a transit SP wolf wonder where it came from.A year and a half ago there was a wolf that was collared in MI after tracking it to where it was killed it had traveled more than 1900 miles since it had been collared as a crow flies it was killed about 400 miles from where it had been collared.

They were native to Nebraska, and we had them all the way up until the early 1900s. As long as they were managed, what harm would it cause to reintroduce a native species?

Nebraska farmers and ranchers raise "cattle" and "calves". Wolves eat them. Coyotes are bad enough. Life ain't supposed to be easy.
