The first red winged blackbirds showed up this weekend. I hope they're right.

10 degrees last night. Callin for 60 on Wednesday then cold again by the weekend.

I have noticed geese and mallards pairing up at some ponds in the city. Keep watching a hawk nest in an oak tree for the return of the pair of hawks that use this nest every year. Haven't found them this year.

First two turkey vultures today here Never got above 17°F. With a foot and a half of snow with on and of light flurries. Of course my carcass pile that been being picked through all winter by scavengers draws them, but this is early and cold

Don't know about Red Wings here, but geese show up March 18 within two days every year. We've had 55" of snow so far here this winter so I don't know if they will be on time this year,a lot of melting need's to happen by then Sandhill cranes show up around the 22nd every year.

1 hour west of flipper no redwings yet, but a few flocks of geese. But the state biologists told us (Hoosiers)to take down all of our feeders, supposed to slow the spread of the unmentionable word. We now know that's B.S. but didn't at the time. Wife has a few in the maples but I can't get them in the frozen ground outside my office window.

Saw 2 Robins on Saturday here. Also have been hearing geese for a few days now.
Heard a gobbler last week, sounded like a Jake who hasn't grow a true gobble yet. Lol
Ready to start playing in the garden.
