Hey Snareline , my Italian friend ! Glad you are ok. At least ya didn't get a 660 across your shoulders on a short chain, in fast rising tidewater .... Hiiii! And omg, who?!

Setting for wolves with an Alaskan #9 I had the chain looped around a tree and was tucking the wax paper in and the snap sound and my index finger on my right hand felt the snap. Now what do I do I thought and is my finger still attached, I don’t know cause it is in my glove. In the silence of the moment I wondered am I in shock, I got to get out of this thing my thoughts turned to. I was able to get my knees somehow positioned with my free hand to get out. Again wondering if my finger was attached I got the machine started in the narrow trail between trees and turned around and headed the miles to the truck. When I got everything loaded, truck started I removed the glove slowly and my finger was flat to the bone but no other damage. That was my first time in the Alaskan # 9 hand in the trap club!
This happened just after Dean Wilson had gone to an 1/2” offset jaw thankfully.

I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

That just a flesh wound. #3 Duke. Took four months to lose the thumbnail. That looks horrible.

This happened just after Dean Wilson had gone to an 1/2” offset jaw thankfully. You should start making your loop big enough for you to fit through, just in case. LOL
