Raise em above what they've already been inflated? Picked up a couple boxes of steel the other day, BB and #2 for about $17/box. Best price I've seen in a while. I wait for the walmarts sales every winter and pay $5 to $7 a box for steel shot shotgun shells.

I got 1 of each, nothing special just Winchester and Federal but if it goes bang when I pull the trigger it's better than nothing. Been seeing more ammo on the shelves over the last 2-3 months. I love getting the dry lock steel shot.

I have 2,000 .223 And 2,000 9 mm I should be ok unless I have to kill a lot of things lol If I was that low on ammo, I'd be curled up in a corner, crying like a baby, LOL. Like a guy I worked with said he had a brick of 22's, 2 boxes of 9mm and 3 30 round AR mags loaded up, so he was "ready." I told him there was more ammo than that in my truck at any given time... But in reality, you can only carry so much, and in a "real" situation, trying to defend a Static position will be futile, and most won't make it long enough to do the first mag change.

I bought 100 new 30-30 starline brass yesterday and 100 hornady 308 interlock roundnose. Couldn't find both in one website to combine shipping. Could not find any other brand of brass either except used mixed brand for sale. Once fired unmixed I would have bought but no luck. so with shipping it came to 140 bucks. i found a gun store that would sell me two boxes of factory 170 grain bullets for 30 a box. So that first hundred is going to cost about the same as factory. If he would have sold me 5 boxes I would have gone that route. !00 rounds will take about a half pound of H335 and the primers. I see primers are up to 8 bucks a hundred. when you can find them. I am good on primers. I think I paid 30 for the powder. Had it squirrelled away too. So about 165 to load them myself.
So should i have just bought the two boxes of factory ammo in 170 grain? Who knows. This ammo thing is sure getting old though. Round nose bullets are hard to find. Anybody has a line on some please dont keep it a secret. I would like to buy two three hundred more. Open sighted 30-30 is pretty nice in thick timber when your not going to shoot very far. Can get on the animal quick with open sights.
But then I am prejudiced toward the venerable 30-30 as my dad gave me one when I was 11. I have killed a LOT of animals with one.
